Tag: Wheel Of The Year

Hello, book queens, kings and non-binary royalty!
Today I bring you a book tag. This tag was created by Rhiannon over at Crescent Moon Reads.
And without further ado, let's just get to the questions!

Imbolc: new beginnings, rebirth, moving into spring. What new-to-you book series are you anxious to start?

Okay, there's a lot. Seriously, between my physical TBR and my digital TBR, I have 17 first books in a series. So I'm going to try and choose just 2.
After a few minutes of pondering, I narrowed it down to these books: Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, and The Soul Thief by Kim Richardson.

Ostara: Perfect Balance, light coming to defeat dark, the first day of spring. Name a book with a happy ending!

The first book that comes to mind is one of my recent reads. And that's When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon. It's an amazing book that I completely recommend!

Beltane: Vitality & Fertility, the peak of spring heading into summer, it is a time for passion and love. Name your favorite passionate couple (canon or not).

This is probably going to be the hardest question for me to answer because I have a ton of couples I ship! I could spend a whole day just naming them. But I'm going to choose my OG ship. And that's Clark Kent and Lana Lang from Smallville. That was the first couple I ever shipped in my life. And it ended horribly. I'll never get over how perfect they were together. And I'll never forgive Lex for being the cause of their breakup.

Litha: Longest Day, the sun is in full power, life is full and it is time to celebrate before we begin the descent into the dark of the wheel. What book or character makes you feel most ready to party?

I can't think of one right now, to be honest. Maybe... Magnus Bane from the Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare? That's probably the only character I'll come up with so we'll go with him!

Lammas: First Harvest, moving into autumn, the first grain is harvested. What tasty treat in a book would you love to be able to pull from the pages to eat?

I don't have one for this. I can't remember any with food descriptions that made me go "Oh my God, I wish I could eat that!". So we're just going to skip this one.

Mabon: Perfect Balance, dark coming to defeat light, the first day of autumn, a time of reflection on the year’s fruition, what is a project you are proud of that you have recently made progress in?

My WIP. I had stopped writing for a really long time. Probably almost a year. And recently I've been writing a lot and I'm really proud of how it's turning out.

Samhain: All Souls Night, the point of death in the wheel, the boundary between worlds is thinnest, time to honor ancestors. Name a book that represented your ethnic heritage, or if you have not read one yet, say what ethnic ancestry you’d like to see in a book!

I haven't read any books with Portuguese characters and I'd really like to read some.

Yule: Deepest Dark, darkness is in peak and we wait for the light to return, what book dealt with a very heavy topic, but ultimately relayed a message of hope?

For this one, I'll have to go with If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo. If you haven't read this book, you really should! I won't get into the book but I'll link it here so you can go and see what it's about.

And that was it for this tag! I hope you enjoyed it. I don't know who to tag so if you're reading this and you want to do it consider yourself tagged!
I'll come back soon with another post.
