Hello, book queens, kings and non-binary royalty!
Today I bring you a review of Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet Vol. 4 by Mika Yamamori.
Title: Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet Vol. 4 Author: Mika Yamamori Pages: 160 Rating: 3.5/5 stars |
1- This manga series hasn't been officially translated so I'm reading it through an app where fans translate several manga series;
2- I don't read manga with critical eyes.
Having that aside, let's get into this review.
Oono Fumi is a poor second-year high school student. Because of her father's debts, she's kicked out of her own home and has to rely on her own connections to survive. Thus begins her life as a live-in housekeeper for a reclusive writer.

This manga series has been incredibly adorable so far.
As this is the 4th volume I'm not going to get too into what happens in here (because of spoilers).
Fumi is a mess, to be honest with you. An adorable mess. She's clumsy, always in her own world, and in love. She actually makes me remind of my own girlfriend (but don't tell her I said that!).
Akatsuki is the manga clichè male character: shields up, indifferent, but occasionally soft (for Fumi only, of course). And completely unaware that she has a small crush on him.
And as usual, Kaneishi keeps on being my favorite character. He's the most adorable boy and deserves all the happiness in the universe.
This volume brought a road trip that ended up being hilarious. And I think that, plus its consequences, were my favorite part of it all.
Is it the typical shoujo romance full of clichès? It is. Is it still worth the read? If you like shoujo romance, definitely.
I don't know what else to say other then I can't wait to continue reading this series.
