Hello, book queens, kings and non-binary royalty!
Today I bring you my #AsianLitBingo wrap-up.
Was my TBR for this bingo really ambitious? It was. Did I complete it? Not even close.
I completed 5 books which was already great. I read 3 novels, 1 short-story and 1 manga.
And without further ado, here are the books I read.
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon.
I adored this book. It was the cute contemporary I was hoping it'd be. Also, Rishi needs to be protected at all costs because he's just this cute and sweet boy that deserves the entire world.
If you want a cute contemporary pick this book up if you haven't already! I totally recommend it!
If you want to know more about my thoughts you can read my full review here.
Prom Queen Perfect by Clarisse David.
This was definitely the cutest hate-to-love story I've ever read.
I went from hating Alex to loving Alex. She had the best character development in my opinion. I really enjoyed Alex and Adam's relationship and how it changed throughout the story.
I'll be having a review of this short-story coming up in the next few days so keep an eye open for that!
Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet Vol. 4 by Mika Yamamori.
I've been reading this manga series for the past few months and completely loving it. It's the typical cute shoujo romance that I'm used to. So obviously I loved it.
There's a review for this volume coming up tomorrow so I won't say anything else about it.
Ash by Malinda Lo.
The sapphic Cinderella retelling everyone needed. That's it. That's all you need to know.
But if you want to know more of my thoughts about it, you can check my review here.
Saints And Misfits by S.K. Ali.
So let's imagine this: this is my favorite's shelf (left hand) and this is this book (right hand); now I'll slowly put my right hand on top of my left hand. That's it. This is one of my favorite books ever and everyone should read it. (TW: sexual assault; so obviously if you're not comfortable to read about it, please don't!).
I have a review for it here so go read it if you're okay with it.
And those are all the books I read for #AsianLitBingo! I read enjoyed participating in this reading challenge! The rest of my May wrap-up will be up this Sunday so look forward to it!
Let me know in the comments which books you read this month and what you thought about them. Or you know, link your wrap-up post/video and I'll gladly go and watch it!
