TV Series: Favorite Fictional Characters

By Marta - 9:00 AM

Hello, everyone!
Today I bring you a post about my favorite TV fictional characters.

I managed to choose only 15 characters for this (which was a miracle). They aren't in any particular order because it was already difficult to choose only 15. And, not in any way a surprise, there's only one male character in this list.
Warning: there might be spoilers ahead, so read at your own risk.
Without further ado, let's get into the characters!

Margaret "Peggy" Carter

If you're a Marvel fan you definitely know Peggy Carter. Being a member of SSR during World War II and a founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., Peggy is one of the most fierce female characters that I've ever known. Please don't mess with her unless you want to be left in the ground crying in pain.
When I first decided to watch Marvel's Agent Carter I was afraid I wasn't going to like the TV series. Not because I'd heard bad things about it but because I had never watched a Marvel TV series before. I was not disappointed. But I was sad that it got canceled after season 2.
Hayley Atwell is a great actress and I absolutely love her.

Cosima Niehaus

Let's start with a standing ovation in honor of Tatiana Maslany's acting. She's one of the best actresses ever and no one can tell me otherwise. It was so hard to pick only one of the clones to put on this list. So hard. But Cosima ended up being the best choice. First of all, my baby lesbian deserves the best in the world (unpopular opinion: that should have not been Delphine because Delphine is the worst).
If you haven't watched Orphan Black (which you definitely should, it's one of the best sci-fi series), Cosima is a biologist and one of the clones that make up part of the main cast. A queer woman in science? I LIVE! I don't have much more to say. Just watch Orphan Black and fall for Cosima too.

Eretria

The badass bisexual queen I didn't know I needed until I started this TV series. I spent a lot of time trying to decide between her and Lyria (her girlfriend). But I guess I've loved Eretria for longer so I ended up choosing her. I need to be honest will you all: I had no idea how gay I was until I first saw Eretria. Seriously, I knew I was gay before. But afterwards, I knew I was hella gay.
I still can't decide if I ship her more with Wil or Lyria. And I guess I'll never find out since The Shannara Chronicles got canceled. Which is incredibly sad because I loved it. Anyways, you should watch this TV series if you like fantasy. And all my love goes out to the actress Ivana Baquero.

Katherine Pierce/Katerina Petrova

I know what you're thinking. Katherine is the biggest bitch in the history of bitches. I get it. She's evil. One of the worst vampires in the history of vampires. But I love her. She has to be one of my favorite villains ever. And nothing will ever make me change my mind about her. She's ruthless, manipulative and the queen of Hell (literally speaking). But she is the way she because she's a survivor. And that's why I love. That and she thinks Elena is boring and not interesting, she's me.
Also the fact that Nina Dobrev seems to find a way to make Katherine look so different from Elena physically. I can't understand how. The Vampire Diaries is my favorite trashy TV series and I love it.

Sara Lance/Black Canary/White Canary

Another badass bisexual queen that I love. The best leader the Legends could have hoped for, let's be real. The precise moment we first saw Caity Lotz as Black Canary, I knew I'd have the biggest crush on her. And weirdly enough, when she became White Canary, my crush got bigger. She's a former assassin and yet she's one of the most caring characters in the Arrowverse. And that's what I love about her. She can kill if needed but she loves so strongly that it ends up hurting her. Also, she died and was brought back to life, she deserves happiness. And I hope that happiness is Ava.
If you love superheroes, do watch all the Arrowverse shows, especially Legends Of Tomorrow.

Nyssa al-Ghul/Nyssa Raatko

"A female archer? I love her already." That's literally what I thought when she first appeared in Arrow. Nyssa is the definition of "I don't need a man in my life" and "I can do everything on my own". And she's a lesbian assassin. What else could I ask for?
Her love for Sara is so huge that I had a very difficult time accepting that they'd never be together again. She was born into the League Of Assassins, and though I'm great she was because she's amazing, I kind of wish she wasn't. And that's because deep down she's so soft.
And Katrina Law is such a great actress. She needs to appear more in the Arrowverse, she deserves it.

Daisy Johnson/Skye/Quake

You know when the main character actually feels like the main character? As in they steal the spotlight most of the time? That's how I see Daisy. If I had to pick one favorite character, I think it'd be her. She's my favorite Marvel character. She suffers too much. She just deserves all the happiness and love in the universe. And a girlfriend, to be honest. #GiveQuakeAGirlfriend
Also, Chloe Bennet is great. And a TV series with two Chinese-American main characters? Why isn't everyone just watching Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.? But that's a story for another time. I just want everyone to love Daisy and that's all.

Melinda May/The Cavalry

I couldn't mention Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. without mentioning May. I know I've called so many characters on this list "badass" but May is the definition of badass, let's be real. S.H.I.E.L.D. is lucky to have such a talented and amazing agent. And let's hope she doesn't find out I called her "The Cavalry" or I'm dead. She rarely smiles so I have all the scenes in which she does engraved in my mind. And let's say I see her as the mother of the group. She has this image that makes her look cold but she cares so much about the entire group. Plus, she trained Daisy so Daisy's lucky.
Ming-Na Wen is great too. A great actress and a great woman. Please appreciate her.

Regina Mills/Evil Queen/Roni

The best redemption arc ever written for a character. I'll fight everyone that hates on Regina. Literally, I'll fight you. She's a great mother, an amazing friend, and she was absolutely the best villain in Once Upon A Time. Her romance with Robin Hood was the softest and they deserved better. But I'm just glad she got her happy ending. And she found it alone, which is something that we don't see in fairy tales.
I'm also glad that the writers didn't try to give her a new love interest after Robin because her love for him was eternal, honestly speaking. And Lana Parrilla is a queen herself and a great actress.

Tilly/Alice

Tilly was the best Alice the Once Upon A Time world ever had. I knew she'd be one of my favorite characters in the seventh season right away. Most of her story, since birth, is just so sad and she didn't deserve any of the bad things she got. I'm just happy that she and Robin were together in the end. Is there anything better than Tilly getting a girlfriend after that childhood she got?
And let's not forget that the only family she had was her father but she can't go near him because her mother poisoned his heart? The pain you see in her face every time she looks at her father hurts you too. Rose Reynolds is a great actress.

Nomi Marks

The struggle between deciding if I loved Nomi, Amanita or Riley more was real. Sense8 is just one of those TV series with a cast that you can't help but absolutely love. Seeing a lesbian trans woman played by an actual trans woman as one of the main characters was great. You know what wasn't great but unfortunately happens a lot? The fact that her mom keeps using he/him pronouns and calling her "son". Like her mom literally says that her "son" is a disappointment. Nomi is an amazing woman and a great hacktivist. And she's the strongest person ever. I love her.
Also, Jamie Clayton is an amazing person. Love her, please.

Bellamy Blake

If you know me, you knew Bellamy was going to be on this list. It was inevitable. He's the love of my life and that's it. Let's just start by saying: let's forget about the first 11 episodes of season 3 because the writers did him so dirty. They could have made him angry because of Gina dying without making him side with Pike. Also, I love Octavia but the fact that she blames Bellamy for everything that goes wrong in her life is so unfair. He literally keeps saying "my sister, my responsibility" and keeps trying to protect her. Also, character development at its best. Bellamy deserves the world.
Bob Morley is a sweetheart too. And The 100 is my favorite TV series, in case you don't know.

Raven Reyes

Is there a character that suffers more than Raven in The 100? There isn't. I've lost count of the times she almost dies. Or the times she gets injured. Or the times she sees the people she loves dying. I just want to give her a hug and say "Raven, you're so strong and you deserve the world".
She's smart, she's a badass and absolutely the best character in this TV series. Also, her "reunion" with Clarke in season 5 was so emotional. She kept blaming herself for Clarke's death. So when she learned Clarke was actually alive, she cried. She cares so much about the entire group.
I love her. And I love Lindsey Morgan.

Roberta "Bobbie" Draper

I never thought I'd love a character as much as I love Bobbie when I started The Expanse. A female Polynesian Gunnery Sergeant as one of the main characters (from season 2 onwards)? I approve. Also, she's a great character. She's a great leader and straightforward. I fell in love with her right when she was introduced because of how fierce she is.
And can you believe she's actually the softest ever? All she wants is to see the ocean. And when she does, you can see the happiness on her face. I'm so glad she got to see the ocean before everything got messy. And I don't get why people think Frankie Adams is a bad actress?

Margo Hanson

Margo (alongside Eliot) is the only character I love in The Magicians. I mean, I like some of the other characters but I only love Margo and Eliot. A fierce magician that is the sassiest person ever? I have to love her. I haven't finished season 3 but I don't think she'd ever do anything that'd make me stop loving her. She is so insecure but also the strongest character? I have no idea how she does it but she's literally the greatest. She's independent and straightforward and everyone should love her. Fillory was lucky to have a queen as great as Margo Hanson.
And Summer Bishil is so hilarious and the best person ever? I love her.

If you made it through the entire blog post, congratulations! You've reached the end and I really appreciate the fact that you read this ginormous post.
